Repertoire

Irish Red plays traditional and modern Irish music.

Songs take up the most part of our repertoire. You can recognize two styles in our music: the up-tempo song with pop music influences and our singer Joost's specialty: the ballad. 

And of course we play our instrumentals, in which the accordeon, the guitar or the piano takes the leading role. These instrumentals can also be traditional or modern. 

We also write our own songs and instrumentals. 

Generally spoken it is the melodic character of our music that is appreciated by our public: we bring you the melancholy of an Irish melody or the sparkling optimism of a happy song, to move you and to make you smile.
